Members’ Meeting and Optional Meal

SUNDAY MAY 19TH, 6:30 PM
All members and those considering membership should plan to attend the Members’ Meeting NEXT Sunday, May 19th at 6:30PM. Also, if you would like to have some casual fellowship before the meeting, come at 5PM and bring your own supper. We don’t need an RSVP or anything for the meal; Pastor Curt and Laura will eat with whoever comes.

Save the Date—Church Picnic

SUNDAY JUNE 2 AFTER MORNING SERVICE
We plan to have an all church picnic on Sunday, June 2nd after the morning service. If the weather cooperates, we will have the picnic out in Joe’s Place behind the building. If not, we will have the picnic in the gym. Start thinking about your favorite side dish or dessert recipes and plan to kick off summer with your church family.

Vacation Bible School at FBCNC

OUTREACH FOCUS FOR MAY
This month, our special outreach focus is preparing for VBS, which will be June 17th – 20th. There are a variety of ways to be involved: volunteering, praying, inviting, and donating. In the coming weeks, there will be items to donate listed on the bulletin board. If you would like to volunteer for a role, large or small, please talk to Laura Sharbaugh.

Wednesday Evenings in the Summer

FAMILY/COMMUNITY FOCUS
The summer provides a good opportunity for a change of pace. With the SBC meeting, VBS, youth camp, vacations, etc., the leadership has found it is best to suspend regular Wednesday evening activities for June and July. Hopefully this provides your family some extra time to connect with those in your community, either family, neighbors, co-workers, or church family.

SBC Annual Meeting

SBC OPPORTUNITY
The Annual Meeting of the Southern Baptist Convention is in Indianapolis this year, on June 11th and 12th. One highlight of the meeting is the IMB sending celebration and report which will take place on Tuesday the 11th. If you are interested in attending the meeting on one or both days as a guest or messenger, please talk to Pastor Curt.
